Herbs & Foods for nourishing your liver:

Milk Thistle (tincture, tea or grind up the seeds and sprinkle on meals): for rebuilding the liver

Bitter Gourd: for detoxification [two recipes here]

The magic of Dandelion:

  • Dandelion flower essence (found in Quiet Mind) for releasing stress & tension
  • Dandelion tea (Couragehas Dandelion leaf), tincture, or greens for cleansing the liver and blood!

Rituals & practices for soothing your fire-breathing dragon:

1. Take a detox bath!

Pour yourself a hot bath and add 2 cups of epsom salts and 2 cups of hydrogen peroxide (both can be purchased inexpensively in bulk at a pharmacy or corner store). Add flower essences & essential oils of your choice, or bath salts! Stay in the hot bath for 15-20 minutes. Be careful as you stand up, because you might be dizzy.

Extra credit? Wrap up in clean sheets and SWEAT. Have a cup of hot ginger tea. Sweat some more. Even better? Do a meditation while you’re soaking in the bathtub. Every one of our bath salts comes with an intention-specific meditation for soaking in the essence of what you want more of. If you don’t have our bath salts, every one of our products comes with a meditation; you’ll find one on every bottle we make!

2. Track your emotions.

Whenever you feel anger or intense emotions, write it down to track the duration of how long it stays in your system. A week? A few days? A few hours? A few minutes? When you track it, you become more aware. A sense of observant curiosity arises and over time, you'll notice the duration decrease over time.

3. Sit with your anger.

Sitting quietly in awareness transforms moments of intense emotional experience, such as anger, grief or rage, into opportunities for insight & growth. A down & dirty teaching of how to do this here
